“Rida was born with Alström Syndrome and microcephaly. At just 7 years old she lost her sight and soon after, her hearing began to fade. Rida communicates without words, expressing herself through body language, gestures, and sounds. She’s found her own unique way to connect with the world!
Throughout her school years, Rida‘s needs were met with genuine care. The school offered her structure, support and an environment where she could truly flourish.
But now, at 19, she faces the reality that similar specialized day care services are lacking. A daily, structured routine is essential for her health, yet finding the right environment to support her well-being has been an immense challenge.
Rida’s story is a call to raise awareness about the importance of accessible, specialized day care services for those with profound medical and developmental needs. Access to this kind of support isn’t just important… it’s essential for independence, growth, and a better quality of life.
